Our commitment

VertiSource HR is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards so that employees, prospective clients, job seekers, and members of the public can independently obtain information about our payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, HR outsourcing, and HRIS services. As a Professional Employer Organization serving workforces across all 50 states, we treat accessibility as a foundational requirement of the services we deliver, not an afterthought.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

vertisourcehr.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to raise conformance to full Level AA and to evaluate WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria as we update individual pages and components.

We do not claim conformance with Level AAA. Our assessment is conducted internally through manual keyboard-only walkthroughs, screen-reader spot checks, automated scans, and design reviews against WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria; we have not commissioned a third-party certification at this time. A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) covering our public marketing site is available on request, contact info@vertisourcehr.com.

Scope of this statement

This statement covers vertisourcehr.com, all service pages, resource content, blog articles, careers listings, legal pages, and the forms hosted on it (quote, contact, demo, callback, newsletter).

The following third-party platforms are out of scope. Each vendor publishes its own accessibility documentation; we raise issues with them on behalf of our users:

  • The VertiSource HR Cloud employer and employee portals at app.vertisourcehr.worklio.com, payroll, timekeeping, benefits enrollment, and document signing. (Underlying HRIS platform vendor disclosed in Privacy Policy §7.3.)
  • Absorb LMS, compliance training, harassment prevention, and safety curricula.
  • HubSpot, certain forms and chat widgets.

If you hit a barrier on any of the systems above, please still report it to us using the contact details below. We will work with the vendor and offer an equivalent alternative where feasible.

Features implemented

The following features are deployed today across vertisourcehr.com. Each reflects what is actually in production, not aspirational plans.

Semantic structure

Declared page language (lang="en"), a single <h1>, logical heading hierarchy, and landmark elements (header, nav, main, footer).

A “Skip to main content” link is the first focusable element on every page and jumps past the header to #main-content.

Keyboard navigation

Menus, buttons, and the mobile drawer operate with Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, and Escape. The mobile drawer traps focus while open and restores it on close.

Visible focus indicators

A high-contrast :focus-visible outline (2px brand blue, 3px offset) is applied to every interactive element sitewide.

Color contrast

Primary body text at 15.6:1 (#0D1829 on #F4F8FC) and card body at 10.4:1 (#294356 on #FFFFFF), both exceeding the WCAG AA 4.5:1 threshold.

Reduced motion

A @media(prefers-reduced-motion: reduce) rule shortens animations and disables smooth scroll when a visitor’s OS signals that preference.

Alt text and ARIA

Content images carry descriptive alt attributes; decorative SVGs are marked aria-hidden="true"; disclosures use aria-expanded; the current nav item uses aria-current="page".

Targets and forms

Primary CTAs and mobile nav targets meet a 44×44 CSS-pixel minimum per WCAG 2.5.5. Form inputs carry visible labels or aria-label, and validation messages are exposed to assistive technology.

Assistive technology compatibility

vertisourcehr.com is designed to be compatible with recent versions of the following combinations. These pairings are checked during page reviews:

  • NVDA with Firefox and Chrome (Windows 10/11)
  • JAWS with Chrome (Windows 10/11)
  • VoiceOver with Safari (macOS 13+ and iOS 16+)
  • TalkBack with Chrome (Android 12+)
  • Windows Narrator with Edge (Windows 11)
  • Browser zoom to 200% and text resize to 400% per WCAG 1.4.4 and 1.4.10

vertisourcehr.com is not designed for Internet Explorer or for browser versions more than two major releases behind current.

Known limitations

We document these openly so visitors can plan around them and so we stay accountable for fixing them.

  • Services mega menu keyboard flow. The multi-column services dropdown works with mouse and touch; full arrow-key navigation across columns is in progress. As a workaround, keyboard and screen-reader users can reach every service through the flat list at the services hub.
  • Legacy blog posts. Articles published before January 2026 may have heading gaps, missing alt text, or non-descriptive link text. We are remediating in rolling batches.
  • Embedded third-party content. Video players, calendaring widgets, maps, and chat modules are controlled by their vendors. We select vendors with published accessibility commitments but cannot guarantee pixel-level conformance inside those embeds.
  • PDF documents. Some older PDFs are not tagged for accessibility. Contact us for an accessible alternate format.
  • Color-only status indicators. A few legacy badges rely primarily on color; we are adding text/icon redundancy per WCAG 1.4.1.

Ongoing commitment and service level

When we receive a report of an accessibility barrier, we commit to the following response targets in U.S. business days:

  • Acknowledgement within 2 business days with a tracking reference.
  • Initial assessment within 10 business days with a remediation plan and target date, or an equivalent alternative we can provide in the meantime.
  • Critical blockers are escalated to same-week remediation whenever technically feasible.

Accessibility improvements are a standing part of our design and engineering backlog. New components are reviewed against an internal accessibility checklist before release; existing pages are revisited on a rolling cadence.
